The annual recruitment process for teachers begins in July through the Catholic Education Office Northern Territory. The school does have regular vacancies for teachers and other positions throughout the year.
Living and working in a remote Aboriginal Community can be an extremely rewarding experience with many people describing it as the highlight of their personal and professional life as well as their faith journey. Teachers in Catholic Education are often reminded that they are privileged to be able to work in these communities. It can also be a challenging experience and is not for everyone. Ideally, people need to be flexible, resilient and have a sense of commitment to working with Aboriginal people in a Catholic environment.
As we are a bilingual school, it is essential that all teachers have a high mastery of the English language.
If you already have permanency within the Catholic Education system, ask your line leader about a secondment to our school for up to two years to retain your permanency.
People who would like to discuss working at our school are encouraged to contact the Principal, Mr Dan Gubby.
